Busy Week...............................

This has been a week of new babies and birthdays.......................
On Saturday my niece, Teresa and her husband Steve, had a 9lb plus baby girl, Isabel Scarlet.  She is a beautiful little girl.  Isabel has a big sister Sophie and big brother Clay.  My welcome gift was the album I featured in my last posting....

On Monday I celebrated my 64th birthday,  on Wednesday Carlos, one of my daycare children, turned five and tomorrow Aubrey, another of my "children" will turn 2.  I forgot to take a picture of the card I made for Carlos but did get a shot of the one Aubrey will receive tomorrow........And here it is................
Aubrey is having an Olivia themed birthday party on Saturday so I decided to see if I could make a reasonably accurate "Olivia".  I did not trace her but worked with scrap paper until I got the template that I wanted and then created the final version with cardstock.  I think she looks pretty good!

I made-up the verse in the card and printed it on my computer.

Another project I have been working on is heart shaped Valentine boxes for my friends and family.
Here are some samples of what I have done.....................
This is a larger Valentine box I made using the Close To My Heart exclusive cricuit cartridge Art Philosophy.  The paper is from the new Close To My Heart collection Sophia.  The "bling" is also new from CTMH.  The flourish is from a CTMH stamp set. The paper used to make the flower is from the same paper collection.  The Heart shaped charm is from the Charm Barn and the lace is from JoAnn's.
These two boxes are three inch boxes made with the same cricuit cartridge.  The flower is cut with the Art Philosphy cartridge as well.  The boxes are embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss dot folder.
This coming Tuesday is the Ink Spots cardmakers group meeting.  The challenge for this month was to create a winter themed birthday card.  Following is the card I will be taking to the meeting................
This card is made with the Close To My Heart Wonderland paper packet.  I embossed it with the Cuttlebug snowflake folder and embellished it with sparkles.  I cut the center circle with the Art Philosphy cartridge with the centering feature on the Cricuit.

Let me know what you have been working on........................

Happy scrappin' and stampin'!

Take care of you!!

Karen
